Our location in the heart of the Cedar Rapids places us in the middle of Iowa’s premier medical district. That means you and your family benefit from access to renowned medical professionals and groundbreaking research studies. We support over 5,000 kids per year—primarily in Linn and Johnson counties in southeast Iowa—but all families are welcome at Tanager Place.

OUR THERAPUTIC SERVICES CLINIC
The Tanager Place Clinic is committed to providing mental and behavioral health care to children and adolescents, while also providing the needed support for each child’s family and immediate support network. The Clinic focuses on increasing quality of life through traditional and innovative therapeutic services. Fully accredited by the State of Iowa and the Council on Accreditation, Tanager Place Mental Health Clinic prides itself on providing the highest quality of care treating a comprehensive range of issues. Our clinicians collaborate with each patient and their family in order to create an individualized treatment plan and person centered goals.

FRONT DESK SPECIALIST:
Work effectively as a valuable team member in a fast-paced, high volume clinic. Applicants must be highly organized; details focused, and have strong communication skills face-to-face, over the phone and through written communications.
Primary duties will include coordination of client’s appointments and scheduling; ensure the accuracy of client account and charts; process medical records requests; provide positive customer services at the front desk and over the phone; provide support to the clinicians and medical team; and validate insurance eligibility. Experience in electronic health records a plus (can be trained). Act as a positive emissary of Tanager Place and promote a positive image of Tanager Place at all times. Have an understanding and demonstrate consumer service concepts and initiatives.
Varied hours, 40 hours per week. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 8:00 am - 7:00 pm (rotational), Wednesday 7:00 am-6:00pm, and Friday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm.
High School Diploma required plus two (2) years of clinical front office experience. Applicant must be able to pass required background checks.
